Lace Up for a Cause: The David L. Reiley Memorial Hockey for Healthy Homes Event

On March 15, 2026, at 1 PM, Raritan Valley Habitat for Humanity is hosting the 2nd Annual David L. Reiley Memorial Hockey for Healthy Homes Event at Flemington Ice Arena, located at 426 Case Blvd, Flemington, NJ 08822. This exciting event brings together hockey lovers, community supporters, and legendary players for an afternoon of fun, philanthropy, and friendly competition.

Skate with NJ Devils Alumni

One of the biggest highlights of the event is the opportunity to skate alongside former New Jersey Devils stars. We are excited to announce that Ken Daneyko, Grant Marshall, Randy Velischek, and Travis Zajac have already confirmed that they will be joining us on the ice. Additional alumni may be announced as the event approaches. Whether you’re playing or cheering from the stands, you won’t want to miss seeing these New Jersey Devils alumni in action.

To secure your spot on the ice, players can register by choosing one of two options: register with a $10 fee and commit to raising at least $500, or select the $500 pay-to-play option to meet the participation requirement immediately. Players who choose the fundraising option will receive an email with a link to create their own Peer-to-Peer fundraising page, making it easy to share their story and collect donations from friends, family, coworkers, and teammates.

Meet & Greet with the Stars

After the game, attendees who purchase Meet & Greet tickets will have the exclusive opportunity to meet these iconic players during a special reception. Get autographs, snap photos, and hear firsthand stories from some of the most beloved figures in New Jersey  Devils history.

The Heart Behind Hockey for Healthy Homes

Longtime volunteer, friend, and steadfast advocate David L. Reiley passed away suddenly on January 8, 2025.

Generosity and a deep commitment to others were the hallmarks of Dave’s life. He tirelessly gave back to his community—coaching youth ice hockey, serving as President of the Madison Chamber of Commerce, and volunteering countless hours with Raritan Valley Habitat for Humanity. His smile lit up every room, and his selflessness and leadership inspired all who knew him.

In difficult times, our work can occasionally feel overwhelming. Dave’s life was a testament to resilience and to the profound difference one person can make. We will do everything we can to follow in his footsteps.

This event was Dave’s idea and his final project with us. We proudly dedicate Hockey for Healthy Homes to his memory, honoring his vision, generosity, and unwavering belief in the power of community.
